Congratulations to the 2008-09 Lady Raven Basketball Team. They won the midseason Lady Cat Classic Tournament vs. a previously unbeaten Wichita Collegiate team and then followed that up by being the first group in the school's short six year history to win a Sub State Championship and earn a trip to the State Tournament in Emporia!!! In the two previous seasons the Ravens have been close but just missed the trip to State by 6 points in the Sub State Championship game to eventual 2007 State Runners-up, Olathe South, and then in 2008 the Ravens lost by 5 in the Sub-State Championship game to eventual 2008 State Champions, Lawrence High.

The 208-09 Lady Ravens were led by outstanding Seniors: Kelsey Anselmi, Alexis & Candace Boeh. The Ravens made it over that Sub-State Championship barrier claming a victory over cross town rivals Olathe East to make the trip to the 6A State Tournament. The girls finished with a mark of 16-7 and a final ranking of 6th in State. Congratulations to the athletes and the coaching staff on a job well done!!!
